PANDORA CSR REPORT
4
PANDORA is committed to supporting and advancing
responsible business practices throughout the jewellery
value chain. This commitment is the backbone of our CSR
Policy and is reflected in internal operations aswell as in
our relationswithexternal stakeholders. In2011,we increased
our efforts to proactively reach out to our surroundings and
willingly enter into dialoguewith stakeholders onhow to
strengthen our performance. Beside our engagement in the
Responsible JewelleryCouncil, we have in 2011worked to
establish strategic cooperationwith a range of stakeholders
such as sourcingNGO’s, experts, refiners etc.
The PANDORACSRReport 2011 provides information
and basic statistics on the resultswe have achieved in2011.
By conducting amateriality assessment in early 2011, we
identified the sourcing of preciousmetals, gemstones and
othermaterials as themost important challenge facing the
jewellery industry. Furthermore,we recognise that PANDORA’s
jewellery crafting facilities inThailandhave a positive socio-
economic impact and leave an environmental footprint.
While also serving as PANDORA’s 2011Communication on
Progress on the ten principles of theUnitedNationsGlobal
Compact, this report pays special attention toour CSR Sup-
plier Programme andour CSR achievements at our crafting
facilities inBangkok,Thailand.
This focus is deliberate. PANDORA remains committed to
openly communicate the real dilemmas facing the jewellery
industry, our responses to such dilemmas, and the achieve-
mentswemake in advancing responsible business practices –
internally aswell as in the entire jewellery industry. A natural
part of this approach is towelcome stakeholders to comment
on this report, bring ideas to the table and raise concerns
regarding PANDORA’s activities.
