DIVERSITY
Employment at PANDORA is based onmerit and is offered
without any distinction, exclusion, or preference on the
basis of race, ethnicity, national or social origin, gender,
religion, age, political opinion, sexual orientation and
family responsibilities.
Following PANDORA’sAnnual GeneralMeeting in
March2012, 25% of themembers of PANDORA’s Board
of Directors arewomen. In 2011, the corresponding per-
centage for all Danish listed companieswas less than7%.
PANDORA is committed to remaining among the lead-
ingDanish companieswith regard to balancing gender
representation on the boards, and the PANDORABoard of
Directors has set the target that by 2015 each gender should
be representedby at least 37%.
In 2012, women accounted for 19 out of 73 higher
management positions throughout the PANDORAGroup,
from the level ofVice President to ExecutiveManagement
(26%).Women inmanagement positions, from storeman-
agers todirector level, accounted for 66%. In total, women
made up 61%of the 6,360peoplewhowork at PANDORA,
andwomen held 60% of all management positions.
In2012, PANDORA initiated its global leadership
development programme, LifeLeadership, forVicePresidents
andVPpotentials.The importanceof theprogrammecanbe
illustratedby the fact that in2012 twoout of four vacant top
management positionswere recruited fromLifeLeadership
participants. Leadershipdevelopment programmes arealso
initiated for directors andmanagers at local level. PANDORA
expects that thehighnumber of femalemanagers in the lead-
ershippipelinewill in itself balance thegender representation
in seniormanagement. Inorder tomonitor how this balance
evolves –and to react if required–PANDORAhas decided
that participants ineachof these leadershipprogrammes for
theyears 2012 to2015 (onaggregate) shallmirror thegender
compositionon the relevantmanagement levels.
PANDORAhaspresented theabove targets toour key
partnersamong searchand selectioncompaniesandgiven them
ageneral instruction toensurepresentationof qualified female
candidates for seniormanagement positions in thecompany.
PANDORA ETHICS
Our singlemost importantCSR initiative in
2012hasbeen the roll-out of PANDORA
Ethics, our comprehensiveCSRandcomplianceprogramme
covering theentirePANDORAGroup. PANDORAEthics
contains four coreCSRpoliciesonhuman rights, health&
safety, environment andbusiness ethics.Afifthvital policy
guidesusonhow toengage indialoguewithour supplierson
above issues.Thefivepolicies canbe foundonourCSR siteon
are supported
by tools andguidelines aswell asmonitoringandcompliance
systems toenable theorganisation tohonour our commitments.
Our PANDORA Ethics policies and guidelines cover
the 10 principles definedby theUnitedNationsGlobal
Compact and they are fully alignedwith the Responsible
JewelleryCouncil’s Code of Practices defining honest and
responsible business practiceswithin the jewellery value
chain. Finally, our human rights policy, its underlying
guidelines and our due diligence efforts are sought aligned
with the guidance provided by theUnitedNations’ Guiding
Principles onBusiness andHumanRights.
