When entering into a contractual agreementwith
PANDORA, suppliers signour Supplier Codeof Conduct.To
ensure compliancewith the code,we screen all suppliers,
taking into consideration a rangeof parameters, such as
business importance andproduct-related and country-related
risks aswell as company-specific information.This screening
process is part of our four-stepResponsible Supplier
Programme,which also includes training and auditing
suppliers and ensuring timely follow-upwhenever non-
compliance is identified.
Thanks to theResponsible Supplier Programme,wewere
able tomeet oneof our 2014 sourcingKeyPerformance
Indicators,which required that, in2014, 80%of the total
sourcing value for PANDORAProductionThailand and80%
of thepurchasing value from groupprocurement categories
(such as fixtures and furniture, bags andboxes etc.)must
originate from companies that are either certifiedmembers of
theRJCor havebeen auditedby independent consultants to
verify compliancewithour Supplier Codeof Conduct.
Over the courseof 2014, our crafting facilities in
Thailandhadmanagement systems audited and re-certified
in accordancewith the ISO9001 (QualityManagement),
ISO14001 (EnvironmentalManagement) andOHSAS18001
(OccupationalHealth& SafetyManagement) standards. In
addition, PANDORAProductionThailandwas certified to the
ISO50001 standard (EnergyManagement).
People
Maintainingaworkingenvironment inwhicheveryone
has clarity, competence, confidenceandcommitment
remained the foundationof PANDORAProductionThailand’s
organisational development programmes in2014.Over
theyear, PANDORAProductionThailandwelcomedan
additional 2,000colleagues,whoenjoy safeandhealthy
workingconditions andattractivecompensationandbenefits.
PANDORAProductionThailand’s Safety,Health&
Environment team (SHE)was expanded in2013 and the
roll-out of SHE-related training continued in2014.All our
peoplehave received SHE-related training, using anumber of
trainingmethods and supportedby communication channels
such as PANDORAProductionTV andPANDORARadio.
PANDORAProductionThailand’s Edutainment Centre,
whereour people canborrowbooks and studyduring
breaks – received a total of 50,900unique visits during the
year.Despite theunprecedented growth in thenumber of
jewellerypieces produced, PANDORAProductionThailand
managed to keep averageweeklyworkinghours in linewith
ILO standards byhiring additional people and introducing
shiftwork.
We regard shop associates as front-linebrand
ambassadors and take special pride in ensuring that they are
fullyup todatewith the latest PANDORA information and
training, andhere e-learning is especially important.
As part of thePANDORA
Ethics
programme,we
continuedour CSR and compliance-related training and
monitoring activities in2014. PANDORA
Ethics
is now
included asmodules inour e-learning system. PANDORA’s
50 in-house trainers conduct thousands of hours of face-to-
face training and coaching throughout theGroup each year.
In addition, all shop associates andoffice teammembers
can access our e-learningplatform to receive trainingon
a rangeof topics, from general sales techniques to visual
merchandising and specific jewellery collections.
Webelieve that a successful companybenefits from
having adiversemanagement team.To this end, theGroup
has set anumber ofmanagement diversityobjectives, and
progress is reviewedonce a year.Theobjectives and recent
results are as follows:
• By2020 at the latest, the gender split in senior
management positions (members of the Executive
Management, generalmanagers and vicepresidents)
shouldbe40%-60%.At the endof 2014, 34%of senior
managementwerewomen, up from31% in2013.
• The gender compositionof theGroup’s leadership
programmes for the years 2012-2015 shouldmirror the
gender compositionof staff in vicepresident anddirector
positions (on aggregate).On1 January2014,women
accounted for 50%of thismanagement group, andmade
up50%of the enrolment inour leadershipprogrammes
in2014.
